We’re punting an entire season again in hopes that Beal comes. Who knows if he even does. Why not try to improve now?

I can’t see any way Beal doesn’t come next year. I think the entire point of him coming is to team up with Jaylen/Jayson and that wouldn’t have been possible with a trade, likely requiring Jaylen in the package.

Listening to pods over the last few days, they’re treating Beal like a moron for not demanding his way out of WSH, and I think completely ignoring the fact that he clearly has a close relationship with Tatum.

That said, this year is gonna be another down year. Best we can hope for is steady health. Likely won’t make it to the second round.

No you’re def right there were no moves to make to get us to contender level this season. It just sucks kicking the can down the road and wasting a season when we could at least sign some 1+1 contracts that could be off the books this season or sign other players we could trade to free up some space to at least compete now

yeah I wish it’d have gone that way, a lot of teams just were willing to offer more years to the quality free agents than we were
