woulda been a better trade if it were 2000

Yeah i figured that would be unpopular but i do think drummond can be an extremely effective player in the right system

why would kemba have won anything in charlotte? if he signed with the lakers and won a title there you'd somehow view him as a better player? since when has one sub-MVP level all star ever been enough to win anything?

No, he'd be the exact same player. A streaky shooter who struggles against long defenders and traps. keep that.

if offensive rebounds were that important, kanter would be playing

Kanter has the lateral quickness of a turtle and thats why he doesnt see time

And in the opener we scored how many? Kemba did what exactly? And you keep talking about regular season accomplishments. I've already told you, I only care about winning the championship. I don't care about "being fun" or beating up on s*** teams.

idk if you know this, but our top 5 guys can't even play on the floor together, and even when four of the top five play together, one always seems to get left out.

Theis isn't garbage, but he's 6'8 and pretty much a zero in terms of offensive impact. He'll get us dominated on the boards against teams with size. Please don't act like Wannamaker is good either. He's a guard with tunnel vision, a low volume 3 point shooter as well.

You can enjoy the regular season all you want, but nothing i've seen has made me reassess the ceiling of the team. Kemba can't play against bigger defenders, Tatum is having a nightmare season in terms of efficiency, the bench is bad, and the big man rotation is terrible.

you can't go 3 sentences without contradicting yourself, first it's I keep talking about the regular season, then you're focused on one single regular season game which is baffling.

the fact that our best 5 have barely even shared the floor thus far and they've been performing well sounds like reason for optimism for me. our injuries are just a product of chance.

then you keep saying we just beat up on bottom feeders which, uh, is just false.

No, I'm saying you are ignoring regular season results which contradict some of your claims. I don't care about regular season results at all, i'm simply indulging for the sake of the argument

and no dummy. Our best 5 literally cannot share the floor together because they are so small.

And you're judging if teams are good or not based on record. but teams like denver, miami, etc., aren't really good. theyre just byproducts of the league being so watered down.

I also think you're underselling the ceilings of tatum and brown. wings are the single most important position in basketball currently. tatum has been excellent on defense and a big reason we're 4th in def efficiency. we've seen this man be the best player on the court sharing the floor with PG13 and Kawhi. he has 82 games to find the consistency.

Both can and will be and probably already are star players

The only fun season since the trade was Isaiah averaging nearly 30, but even that was frustrating because they all stopped playing defense.

I'm not ignoring anything, I'm taking the entire sample into consideration. you say that but those 5 are exactly who brad will put out there at the end of games.

so who is actually good then? lakers, clippers, and bucks? anyone else?

so we beat the bucks and barely lost to the clippers on the road in a terribly officiated game. I don't see why I should be sooo f***in sad about that.

No one said to be sad lmao, but as I've told you, I don't care about regular season results. Beating the bucks in november means absolutely nothing.

but losing to philly in october means the sky is falling. got it.

lol it’s not that one single win against the bucks proves anything it’s all within the context of overall team performance this season. altho the rest of the league seems to be having a very hard time beating the bucks at any time.

ignoring that margins of victory have typically been increasing due to more 3 point shooting/tanking

oh s*** I forgot teams only tank when they play the celtics. obviously I’m talking about net rating relative to the rest of the league.

i dont think you understand that we can be a top 6-7 team in the league and still not be close to being a title contender.
