I truly don’t think we’ll ever be an actual contender with Kemba as our starting point guard. He’s too small and is more than even a liability on defense, he doesn’t play an ounce of it lol.

Also our bench is disgustingly bad, Teague and Thompson have been disappointing af. Ainge constructed a mediocre team

I truly don't think we'll ever be a contender with Theis as the starting center. He is better than average as a big off the bench, but he has proven time and time again he is not enough as a starter, especially against bigs like Embiid and Adebayo. Spurs are relatively big with Poertl, Aldridge and Keldon (who plays big) and we were once again exposed, as they shot 27-33 on the paint. Theis' good offensive games end up being a distraction. Should've f***ing gone for Turner.

Kemba is playing at the very least OK defense this year. He looks to be at the right spot most times and is getting deflections constantly. He seems to be altering more shots than last year as well. Obviously he is limited by his size, and his fit with the Jay's tonight didn't look good (Brown said they need time to gel in the postgame). I definitely don't think that's a reason why the Celtics aren't winning a title though. Far from it, this team's ceiling is much higher with him. Despite f***ing up late, he still made 2 of the biggest shots tonight, including the 3 to tie it at 99-99. He is a big shot taker and we need it. As for the fit, it looked fine in the bubble last year
