Bottom line is that Drake didn't navigate as well as Kendrick. Kendrick seemed to really control the narrative while Drake was playing catch up. I've said it before but it doesn't even matter that there were lies on Meet The Grahams. At that point the beef was basically won just bc of release strategy/public engagement. Overshadowing Family Matters immediately. Seemed like he beat Drake at his own game & I'm a Drake fan.

• Drake controlled the narrative at first and was up when he dropped 2 diss tracks and Kendrick wasn’t anywhere to be found

• Kendrick returned with some fire that made him be up front or at least had them both on equal footing

• they both dropped their nukes, but Kendrick outclassed Drake on a tactical level by dropping his nuke right after Drake’s and it having more shock value than his

• Kendrick then went on and dropped another diss that is not only the one that does the best commercially, but also felt like the moment the Internet/public gave Kendrick the definitive W thinking this is where the beef ended

• Drake dropped the heart 6 deflecting and calling Kendrick cap, but the general public has already made up their mind, and their stanbases respectively weren’t ever not gonna pick the side of their goat. The rest of us either is still waiting on more clarity in terms of which tea is true or cap, or have decided their winner moreso based on the quality of the music.. which for most people overall tips in the favor of Kendrick. Especially since the majority of people didn’t like the heart 6
