And there's no respect being shown to the mothers or the children.

This is hip hop and this battle is f***in amazing. It woke up both of their pens and Drake's been sleeping at the wheel for years in favor of making hits until now. But it is now at a point where it is past ugly.

The only way for either one of them to come out on top of this is to keep going lower than low. I just hope they keep this s*** on wax and don't take it any further than that.

That’s fine; I don’t know when it’s ever been the line for rap beef when you’re getting past the surface level of “I rap better than you”. Once the gloves are off, they’re off. They’re not halfway off

I (!!!) wouldn’t make light of pedophilia, but I (!!!) am not the one in this beef and I don’t have to listen to the songs if the subject matter is too much for me

Exactly, these niggas are new to rap because they could not commentate old rap beefs and the s*** said and done. If they knew all the allegations thrown at their top 5 they wouldn’t even listen to hip hop

Kendrick is overrated, all three of them are dumb asses, but Kendrick tries his hardest to sound like a black intellectual and still isn’t convincing to a person doing it better than him. I’ve heard more contrived and corny bars from Kendrick but people don’t really read lyrics to see the truth. They all rap corny and forced s***, but Kendrick acts as if he’s saying s*** that’s deep when it’s not.

I use to like Kdot around section 80/GKMC but his fans propped him up as the black messiah and he’s been attempting to come off that way since and it’s a horrible attempt. Wearing laurels and acting like your music is moving people like Tupac is lame.

I mean, he was doing this even during S80/GKMC era. Songs like F*** Your Ethnicity and Hiiipower. Hiiipower music video starts with text saying that Pac visited him in a dream. The Heart Part 3 was accompanied with some corny s*** like "Will you let hip-hop die?"

I feel like he could've taken greater accountability for it on Mr Morale instead of pointing the finger at fans/the public but I don't understand the narrative that this messiah s*** started with TPAB

And Cole definitely not better. He's yet to drop an album that tops what the other two were dropping 12 years ago

And I’m fine with dudes wanting to apply current societal standards to the music they listen to, but at some point, you gotta realize that you’re listening to a genre that was created in a very brutal reality. There’s more space for topics like this to not be danced around than in other genres.

Obv you shouldn’t straight up joke about someone being a pedo or w/e, but rap is just a culture where you can’t be too sensitive if people don’t walk on eggshells about that topic

  • May 6, 2024

i notice that its Drake fans and new users saying this lol.

Its a rap beef, there are barely any boundaries fr and I think Kendrick is not joking. Drake has very predatory behavior and hangs around suspect people.

I understand how it might seem distasteful for women and victims to be used for war purposes. But Kendrick is legitimately saying he dont like this nigga

    POOM POOM DOOM

I'm personally going off what this whole "beef" was initially intended to be when Kendrick dropped Control: Who raps better?

I feel like that’s hard to judge here. From a pure rap part both seem very even to me. Kendrick was very matter of fact with his raps while Drake was still talking in metaphors.

Boooooo morals get that s*** the f*** outta here

Tbh if they never acted like saints doubt anyone would care

But they was acting like they had morals. Drake when he said he was gon settle for being the good guy in 2018 and Kendrick been on some holier than thou thing since tpab

  • May 6, 2024

Kendrick has to respond to DV stuff.
Drake needs to drop all his evidence in the final track.

It’s his tone and image which has been amplified. His raps aren’t changing a damn thing for people, maybe some will have a positive message you can listen to evoke a certain feeling, but no niggas life was saved or changed by listening to a Kendrick song besides maybe his super fans. Tupac actually has that effect and he is not the next pac. For some reason blacks took the angle serious that he was some black savior, due to the fact he is a conscious rapper and most people just use that title as being close to God like. People don’t even dissect what someone is really saying. Kendrick does not have a pen like Jay Elec, Andre, Nas, or black thought, yet people call him the best MC which is disrespectful to Nas who penned Illmatic and it was written, and the undisputed best diss ever.

J cole just never grew as an artist. He just has limited topics and starts to recycle s***. And Drake is just like an industry plant Shang Tsung nigga who acts like an degenerate 18 year old whose pen game got exposed by having ghost writers. Rap is way past its heyday.

This is really insane and the epitome of peak stan culture that we are laughing at men using sexual assault and related subjects for beef matter as a one-up and hoping one person is exposing a truth because we like their music more.

Is this really what it’s come to???

Been saying this in the beef thread

This Drake x Kendrick s*** was over for me once MTG dropped cause like what are we doing at this point
