It’s admittedly a little sad seeing Star Wars go out like this but it’s at the expense of the future of filmmaking coming to prominence so I’m all good with it
At least George Lucas always tried to do something new and move things forward in filmmaking

Then he cashed out and retired
damn that’s HUGE. this and Obsession are big wins this year. Horror on top
You can probably say that Backrooms had more people in theaters to watch it than Mando because Mando had PLFs all to itself (including IMAX) while Backrooms had like one Dolby show a day
Horror has been looking very healthy at the box office for the past 2 years or so
Longer than that tbh. Horror has been like the only reliable profitable box office genre for a minute.
Actuals came in higher. 26.4 ➡️ 27.5
If this makes 225 with standard muscle, no PLF boosters. Man.
end of the 20s looking exciting.. i lowkey feel like alot of the "big movies" like avengers will underperform and we will enter a new era of cheaper movies
but lets see... hopeful..

I think Doomsday and Spiderman will both easily still make a billi imo. But I do believe that most big CGI films will start to underperform more consistently, including comic book films
Avengers, Spiderman, and Batman are the only 3 comic films that will probably continue to make a lot of money
