Dawg Jake is NEVER getting that Canelo fight
Canelo would never entertain the possibility for Jake to grift his way into a fight with him
because jake is nowhere near deserving a canelo alvarez fight. and he never will be. fact.
Same thing he said to that young girl:
I dont care about legacy. We all die in the end
Yeah man I'd go out sad against Jake Paul too if it meant securing 20 million for my family
Yeah man I'd go out sad against Jake Paul too if it meant securing 20 million for my family
he makes more than 20 million yearly probably from his cannabis company and podcasts and other things, maybe what his family needs is him alive and well and not like muhammad ali with parkinsons late in life due to punishment he didn't have to take in the ring. mike has spoke candidly of ali and what happened to him and it brought him to tears. i just hope he can see it himself.
to me, from what i seen tonight, biting down on the mouthguard constantly standing static waiting for a haymaker to land on his own chin, i think mike wants to take physical punishment just to prove he can. if that is the case, he shouldn't be anywhere near a boxing ring. and of course that's exactly what a 28 year old vs a 58 year old was always going to be, one sided punishment.
he always bites his glove and mouthpiece
All boxers are scared to fight Jake Paul
It's a new era, he's the new Tyson
i think mike has a lot of demons still and always will and for whatever reason he's exercising them in boxing, which, would be decent for the training aspect at his age, it would keep you in shape at least and you can set your own pace. in a boxing fight though is very different. i feel he's just taking punishment just to punish himself for whatever it is in his own mind. and for that reason those around him should be protecting him.

You didn't feel an ounce of shame typing this and hitting post?
It wouldn't even be a problem if people weren't trying to act like he's a legit boxer
Like if everyone just collectively acknowledged he's an entertainer, nothing more and nothing less, it'd all be cool. But the folks who are pretending he's a good boxer because he beats up on corpses and punching bags make it hard to enjoy even as a guilty pleasure
They gon have to put Jake Paul in Fight Night now
in terms of mike, if he was to ever read this, i would ask, why? you don't need the money, you don't have nothing to prove, you were the greatest in the world for an era, and you are one of the greatest of all time. you CERTAINLY don't need to reduce your legacy by fighting Jake Paul at 58.
of course, millions of dollars is always good, you can never have enough money, i get it, but in the hurt business your health is more important when you have cash.
lowkey he was still in debt/had things to pay. Thats why he literally retired hotboxing around the time this was announced. He loves fighting too so yk
he always bites his glove and mouthpiece
so he said after the fight, to me, that was him either biting down to take a shot, or him looking for an easier way out with the ref. he didn't want to be in that ring tonight, you could see it reality hit him in the face and mike was scared before the faceoff.

Who stepped up to bruh? I ain't hear nun about him running
MMA is the best fighters, there are no boxers to step up to Jake Paul. He's the champion until he loses and no one knows when someone will beat him
Historic win for boxing

Netflix claimed one y’all

you trying to psychoanalyze a man who is not mentally normal. One thing is for certain, he did not look frightened by Jake “El Guy-oh” Paul

he at least tried to throw combinations in that fight to the body. in this fight he stood static biting his gloves. he looked like a punching bag.

he won the first two but his age and mobility caught up to him.
he won the first two but his age and mobility caught up to him.
he only won the first round in my book due jake having initial nerves, as soon as mike hit him the first time jake was more confident and less worrying once he knew he couldn't hurt him. that allowed mike to close distance for the first round. everything after that paul dominated as he should've
Floyd fights were really events, I remember kids wearing TMT shirts to school during a Floyd fight week. You felt the hype with his fights. Boxing is still chasing that Pacquiao/Mayweather hype till this day. 4 million people paid $100 to watch that fight.
I don't think Floyd is the definitive last global megastar boxer, but he's the end of that era that most 50 year olds glamorize
For a historic sport like boxing, there'll always be another one eventually. Someone on that tier of personality above the Fury's, AJs, Wilders, etc. The dearth of heavyweight personalities (I don't think Fury connects with the global crowd, but def not US) + taking the big fights are the two problems with boxing rn
I don't think even arab money could make Tank/Inoue happen but that's the one that could have some real cross-market appeal. I think Tank is almost too nigga-ish to play in some markets though

i'm not trying to psychoanalyze any man - i'm simply stating what happened. mike tyson looked scared to death in the walkout and before the faceoff. during and after the faceoff he didn't look so nervous but he was literally shaking before the faceoff. reality set in with the full arena.
