After watching this disaster I almost agree

The sport is on its deathbed and doing whatever it takes to survive.

    Fair.

You feel me, that's all I'm saying. Mike old as hell and was gonna gas out regardless but the spectacle of it all blinded some to the fact that Paul was some roided up ass too

    Nah you're cooking. I agree.

I f*** with Tank but he is largely popular amongst a certain type of boxing fan that is trying to relive the Mayweather days through him.. plus he missed out on some good fights. He could've fought Loma when Loma was more active and on a crazy run.

Garcia was the perfect rival for Tank seeing as how it was Mayweather's protege vs De La Hoya's but still..

Wilder and AJ losing their fights killed any hype of a super fight between the two and they both lost again recently too smh

And Tank is nowhere near the personality of Mayweather. Bro tries to pick and choose his opponents, like like Floyd late in his career, smh. After the Pacquiao fight, Floyd literally fought a no name to casuals in Berto, a couple months later, and still did 800K buys. Bro was a real star.

Tbh, dudes like Jake are literally lying about revenue/numbers. It's already been revealed with UFC, that Dana throws out "entertainment numbers", and then there's a contractual number. I'm just gonna assume these Netflix numbers are real though.

Not being able to big fights in America, and having to run to Saudi Arabia for everything, is killing boxing man.

Then you have dudes like Haney who don't turn a profit at all, but wants multi-millions every fight, just cause he wins. 0 personality, has had two PPVs and doesn't even try to sell em to the public

Yeah Tank is frustrating lol his image is him playing up being from the trenches and s*** almost like AI was to the NBA back in 2001, and I get it but then like you said he's doing the late career Floyd thing with some of these matches. Haven't felt compelled to tune into a fight of his cuz I feel like it's a foregone conclusion.

"Entertainment numbers" is wild tho, crazy they allowed to do that

Floyd was a gift and a curse. His initial run was funny as hell cuz he'd have niggas steaming that he was winning and going undefeated. And say what you want but when he was exciting to watch he was exciting to watch.

With that being said, he made all these new niggas afraid to risk that "0" in their L column

His image is dumb af though, cause he really doesn't appeal to old white guys with money looking to hate, at all. Floyd's image was that he was a grown black man boss, he didn't take any s*** and knew how to make money. Tanks image is him being an inner city/troubled youth, making a big come up. He gets the urban side of Floyd's audience, but he's missing the other side completely, cause Tank really doesn't stand for s***.

Yep, entertainment number is very much a deep insider thing, that didn't exposed until that UFC lawsuit, where their having to pay fighters a certain percentage of money, cause of how bad UFC lowballs contracts, and pockets so much money.

Not to mention Floyd leaned into the villain aspect of his image too. people forget that in a lot of his matches during the "Money Mayweather" era his opponents were positioned as babyfaces lmao. Nobody cares about Tank's opps like that,

It's crazy you say this about UFC's contracts cuz this just popped up on the TL

Tommy is always brought up by people as an example of what happens when Paul fights an actual boxer in his age range. Problem is his name isn't big enough for casuals to remember

One of these boxers with a following need to fight him and put an end to this charade

I’d say the biggest choices are Wilder, Canelo, and AJ

Need someone to knock this dude out

Jake Paul would be the biggest star in MMA if he did this in that sport too

Jake couldn't do what he's doing in boxing in MMA

Even the old guys would absolutely destroy him

Jake in MMA got more holes than a grater. He'd get mauled in the octagon straight up.
