Having seen all of Colbert's fights, this was probably the least entertaining. Tug punished his wildness, and Colbert settled into working behind his jab and timing counters himself. It turned into a smart performance. Worked some of his dangerous instincts out of him. Unfortunately, that was his appeal to me. Him and Xavier Martinez should have a competitive scrap though. I don't buy Colbert as a savvy backfoot guy.
Tug did well coming up a weightclass on late notice. Going 12 without a real camp is impressive. Rocking Colbert more impressive still. He's had really tough matchmaking with Russell and now Colbert. Neither guy wanted to be in the pocket with him. Hopefully Showtime gives him Foster or somebody next. I don't think he could just stink him out.
Rivera-Fernandez was a scrap! Wish they would have televised Richardson Hitchins though. Showtime is building a pretty big stable at 140lbs. Hitchins has looked impressive early while he's fresh. Quick and snappy. Doesn't really have the gas tank to back it though. I wouldn't mind him and Gary Antuanne Russell squaring up in a ShoBox headline.
wilder jumping for joy
I mean.. wilder is the underdog but why would he push for a 3rd fight just to jump for joy for it being delayed?

For sports entertainment boxing it is.

who knows how COVID will affect fury, fighter known for his engine as much as his boxing acumen.
the fight will still go ahead, im sure.
ofc wilder has the great equaliser but the way he was beaten last time and the potential of him "trying new things" (learning to box on the back foot) with a new trainer who is almost certainly a bonafide yes man.... spells bad news for the bronze bomber.
got oliver mccall v lennox lewis 2 vibes from press conference anyway
Because he knows his career is finished after
I don’t think he’s happy about it I think he wants to fight... I do think he’s gonna lose but fans are saying weird things.
