This was okay. Carried by great sound design and racing setpieces but the writing is not great.

The movie felt too corporate/clean to me but the racing visuals alone made this worth the watch.

This is the most formulaic “dad” ass movie ever

nah I don't think so. one of them was a guy who saw it early and didn't like how it was another movie where the old white guy has to come in and show the diverse young bucks how it's done, and he gets the girl and he's cool as f***

I can understand F1 being below Rush and FvF, but I cannot accept it being the same tier as Gran Turismo

It wasn’t amazing but it’s nowhere near as bad as people make it out to be. Penelope Cruz was amazing in it

I don’t think a love interest for Damson would have really served the story. His main relationship and what grounds him is the one with his mom. Sucks for the actress, but it would’ve just further bogged down a story that’s already not the strongest part of the film
