Thought this was good, but just sitting on the edge of being great, felt like it was just missing something.

Visuals, performances, and the general concept and themes I loved, just thought it would go a bit further.

I didn’t like Possessor a lot at first but after thinking about it I came around to it, so I’ll let this one simmer for a day or two.

I mean there are common threads but I don’t think he could make any of his fathers films just like I don’t think his father could make his. They deal with different things thematically and even on the surface, Brandon isn’t making body horror (yet).

All the sons are actors, theres bound to be some overlap.

This was much better than expected, terribly mis-marketed as horror-adjacent. The psychedelia montage moments felt completely perfunctory but the first 2/3rds make for a f***ing great DeLillo-esque social satire. Really reminded me of Mao II until the 3rd act goes inward and the movie drives towards a more psychological/emotional climax (to lesser effect, IMO). Mia Goth empties several glock clips while screaming, 8/10
