Can anyone help me understand why Walt said this to Walt Jr?
@TheEPSD saw that you finished a rewatch recently, you got any thoughts on this?
I think it's because Jesse knew Walt's other side and he accepted him. He viewed him as more of a son for that reason
Some people really didn’t get the hint of Gustavo being gay
I'm not going to front...that includes me
Completely missed that and wouldn't have even know that was something I missed until I was looking up stuff on this rewatch and saw it mentioned
Was there more supporting him being gay in BCS (haven't seen it yet) or was there something obvious I'm missing in BB?
Because right now I'm not seeing in his time with Max or his screen time in general for that to be obvious

Been thinking about this since you posted it
Got me feeling dumb as bricks
What did I miss??

What did I miss??
The way they defend eachother, Gus's reaction to fight Hector, the way they force Gustavo to watch Max's dead body feels like they went the extra step to make him suffer (machismo and homophoia)

Also it makes more sense to plan a decades long revenge for the assasination of a lover in front of your eyes instead of a friend

"Los culo hermanos"
"Los culo hermanos"
Preciate it but that was in BCS and I haven't seen that yet but I saw that part whenever I was looking for reasoning

!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZeVWpQUfmagThanks for the breakdown
Yeah everything you said makes sense to the point that Gus being gay seems way more plausible now than just assuming the two of them are just friends especially with that last part
Got me feeling dumb all over again
but I guess I was just thinking everyone's ready to ride for their homies

That line might not br in it but there's several others like when Hector is pissing next to him and says "he enjoys thst he likes what he sees"

Real s***
On a rewatch rn and reading all the wiki pages along with each ep
Was reading about how they set up the machine gun and forgot about it completely
after S2, they’d write episodes as they filmed them because it let the story be shaped by what the actors/directors were doing from episode to episode instead of having to write entire seasons in the writers room before anything was filmed
And with the machine gun they strongly considered just having it be a false-foreshadow and have it lead to nothing because they couldn’t think of anything as the show was getting towards the end. so they invented the nazi’s etc solely to have Walt in a position where he’d need to kill a whole bunch of people in one act
This is probably common knowledge but it’s an interesting bit of behind the scenes
It's crazy how much of the show was made on the fly
any show recs for
someone who loved breaking bad/better call saul?
Watch Snow Fall
Far more breaking bad style crime show hrn power or empire (those are more soap opera/turn brain off and be entertained) only instead of an old teacher making meth and building an empire it's a young teenager who pushes coke and eventually begins the crack epidemic in late 80s and builds an empire, very breaking bad influenced
