Nobody can mute me, but I never said nobody can shoot me
I ain't seen the back of my eyelids, for about the past 72 HOURS.. hand on my heart, face to the hood; I pledge every word you ever heard was HONEST!
People don't know that Gunplay is a lyricist, he's influenced by Reasonable Doubt and Illmatic and all that s***
For like 5 years he always had the best verse on every song Ross put him on
Still does tbh
Also their collab from this year is fire
Man, I thought Gunplay was gonna be a bit bigger but then he started getting beaten up on camera a few times.
link
Gunplay should have been a much bigger artist but that's just how rap game works
Nobody's Favorite indeed
Gunplay is a literal hood poet. Dude just sounds good on a beat and he almost always has the best verse

He got caught for robbery by the security cameras and then faced a life sentence, that's why his label pushed back his album and by the time it came out there wasn't as much hype for it. I still loved it tho, one of my fav rap albums of the 2010's.

Redman and Busta still fw him hard
A couple of years ago when Redman named his fav current rappers he mentioned Kendrick, J.Cole, Joey Badass and Gunplay
Interestingly Kendrick reached out to him for a collab bc he been a fan and at the time Gunplay didn't know who he is
Lmao Gunplay seem like the type of dude who wouldn’t know if his best friend went platinum
I prefer his verse on power circle. But he def slid on this
Haven’t heard that s*** in ages. Gunplay renegaded Kenny again
It’s all on me now, as you could see now
I’m gonna get this money and I will not be denied
funny how none of the links reached the heights of "Cartoon & Cereal"
just admit that was Gunplay's peak, that song and "Bible On The Dash"

I would say he deserves a 2nd chance, but honestly I think he doesn't care anymore.. he seems to be well off financially from touring, and he's cool with his status as an OG in the game and has moved on to try his luck in TV and acting.
