trust there’ll be another megastar y’all just don’t know them yet
nah man streaming and social media have essentially fractured the celebrity monoculture. we'll have trendy names and memes and people who get dedicated fanbases, but the days of your britneys and beyonces and even drakes are pretty much over. the early 2010s were really the last shot anyone had (and that's being generous)

Thats simply not true. Billie eilish is a mega star for example.
He’s going to bigger than what party became ... he’s independent and his buzz is through the roof

"mega star" is overselling it
He won’t even reach trap soul level of commercial success OP. I’d love to be wrong.

Multi-platinum with multiple radio hits on the album. Also it was almost a cultural moment with how it resonated with people which created crazy deserved hype for true to self. People had 10x the right to make this thread about Tiller five years ago than they do for Brent. I don’t think Brent can make an album as relatable and catchy to make it to drake’s level to put it simple, and I’m not a Tiller fan at all.

i don't know that brent's success will look like bryson's but i fully expect him to do some high level s*** with some high level artists
i don't see bryson doing that
not because he's not a star
i just think they are reaching for different things
i think this is my answer everytime these types of things are brought up but why cant they both just be good
theres enough space in music for everyone so just sit back enjoy it and dont worry about who's on top or whatever
drake holds a spot in music history that I think can’t just be taken. The line between singing and rapping is almost completely blurred, and while he can’t take sole credit I still believe he’s the #1 instigator of the fusion.
whether you want to say it’s a good or bad thing, now all rappers sing and any genre can have a hip hop beat.
what’s Brent faiyaz bringing to the table
