I’m so conflicted with Ai.
As a graphic designer I love it. Mostly because I hate graphic designers and I think they’re ridiculous for thinking they’re some wizard of truth and originality. I also think it’s extremely useful for the job (depending on the job). Been using it for a hot minute now.
As a video producer/cinephile and writer I find it to be extremely dangerous and such a slippery slope to such a beautiful art form. But I also see how it can be used tastefully in the right hands. Idk it’s so weird.
I guess films like this were always meant to be made by Ai anyways
Every MCU movie that y’all d***ride could be made by AI so y’all will love this

I fantasize every day about how much of a better world we would live in with no MCU

I do think sadly ever since Jaws came out, this was always the world we were building towards

Ai is goated if it can make Infinity War
Ai is goated if it can make Infinity War
It easily could
The whole movie feels like a toy commercial

There was still a certain magic with Jaws though. The OG blockbusters still felt and feel fresh. MCU is just so exhausting.

Oh yeah I agree. It’s masterful and so are plenty of blockbusters since
But it was always building towards the MCU with how marketable the concept of IP was after Jaws

LOTR trilogy also helped studios realize how marketable it was. Which is very unfortunate because the OG LOTR trilogy is extraordinary film making from the top down and the MCU universe just feels so cheap

Yup
Even after that trilogy, they tried to cash cow the IP with the hobbit movies (not awful imo but a gigantic step down) and the absolutely abysmal Amazon show
Things will only get worse from here on out. Even worse than the MCU
