missing the original versions. Its devolving, not evolving. And its all genres, not just rap. If you a fan of todays rap but you can't objectively say its the weakest crop of rap superstars then you aint a fan, you just blind 
lots of these niggas on this site delude themselves + convince themselves that the music is better than what it actually is so they dont feel left out or so they can feel like theyre a part of something big
look at the lil baby thread and the slayworld stans on here, all of these niggas are just refusing to acknowledge that the mainstream scene is indeed stale, so they overcompensate by trying to push mid tier artists and projects as masterpieces or the next ones up etc. its pretty tiring and goes to show that the bar for hip hop is extremely low nowadays

im personally surprised the sound is beginning to wear on people now
i was way over that s*** quite awhile ago, it was in such a boring place until carti released WLR to revitalize it and give it some new direction, and now niggas are running that into the ground too
