I'm convinced that if a lot of ppl like Merlyn say that 2017 was the last memorable year in music/hip hop, it's because they're more attracted with the memories made more during that year than the actual quality of the music. I will agree that covid did change the game a bit, people are less enthusiastic, creative and inspired.
