one day i’d love to see kevin or any of the remembers answer questions about the past couple years just to really express how the journey has been and give the fans more context. the family definitely helps but there are more questions to be answered

why did ka3 get scrapped? i heard it was because of donda but did RCA have any apprehension about moving forward on it?

was there a specific reason no one outside of kevin released ANY solo singles and little to no features up until merlyn a few months ago? was there an agreement within the group about that?

    why cancel the tour?

why didn’t the kevin/ashlan/HK team handle any of the final videos?

    where is question everything headed?

    what’s up with video store?

i get why they didn’t put the album out or even fashion it as an album, because the industry was pretty much on hold for quarantine, everything was super uncertain

but i think you may be right.

hindsight is 2020 (no pun) but i wish they bit the bullet and dropped technical difficulties as an album or at least put the songs out officially. it’s actually nuts that they were all hanging out daily like the saturation days and nobody thought to use the saturation formula of making a video and dropping it every week like they did back then. i think with music fans desperately craving new content while also being bored and stuck at home, it was the perfect way to catch people’s attention and rekindle a massive amount of interest for the group. those songs are really dope in general too, it would have been special

roadrunner was dope to me but it did feel like it missed the mark, probably marketing and rollout wise more than musically. they did the “throw a couple singles out there then release the album a couple weeks later” rollout which i feel is really terrible for anyone that’s not at the peak of their powers. and musically they didn’t feel as connected. albeit good, a lot of the music felt soulless to me. “i’ll take you on” and “old news” are perfect examples of that.

i believe “windows” is the last truly great brockhampton song. a real posse cut with personality and bars from every member, insane production, a beautiful hook and a crazy switch up. the layers in the production and mixing is nuts. i lowkey think that’s one of the best rap songs of this decade so far, it shouldn’t have been relegated to being an album cut.

    Windows is crazy for sure

    another question:

this might not be something kevin or jon would be able to answer but how did ameer end up on RCA?

how did ameer getting a solo deal effect the groups relationship with the label, if it did at all?

i feel like nobody acknowledges that ameer ended up on RCA

only miss on the album for me i cant stand the beat that woowoo drives me insane.
Love the energy and i never saw it live which i heard is great, but that beat just kills it for me. And i like some out there instrumentals. Its easily my least listened to BH song. I liked it when it first dropped but it fell outta rotation quick

Wasnt he already signed to rca before the allegations?

i’m not sure how their deal works out. kevin’s solo album counted on their deal so idk if every member was actually signed to RCA as well or if kevin was the only one who had the solo deal within the band deal

ameer was def technically on RCA when the group first signed though. as apart of the band at least

but when he first came back, he released music independently, then eventually signed a deal with RCA by way of a company called Winston Wolf. so it was like a separate ordeal for sure

Kinda sad how big of a flop this was considering it was their last album and how much great quality music they've released up to this point
