are these s***s really that loud and annoying?

It's not annoying but they're pretty loud.
They're all over the place it's crazy

i have woods in the back of my house and a large tree in front and its a straight up disturbance to the entire neighborhood (usually very quiet and uneventful). hasn't been too bad these last few days and when it rains they're gone

Last weekend i went out and there were so many in that tree making noises in sync that you could feel in your eardrum. really depends on whats around you tho cus that determines how many are around

Left my windows open yesterday when I went out and there were 3 of these mfs in my room when I got back

Or is it a different bug that makes that buzz like noise on this side in trees n whatever.

If its cicadas im thinking bout, i like the noise & its just environmental ambiance to me.

I do agree it can be overwhelming once in a while tho if its loke a lot a lot, but the average at least on the west coast its manageable & nice.

I’ve lived in California my whole life and ever heard or seen that. Only thing I’ve heard are crickets

I know for sure LA & bayarea in cali have them. Google confirmed them too.

Usually in big ass trees on sidewalks, or in the forestry areas.

But theyre not crazy abundant like the east.

They fry em in some places. I’m in Ohio atm and these s***s are everywhere. One flew into my eye while I was in the car.
