The offense is iso-heavy and the defense is non-existent. It's way too early to jump to conclusions, but Brooklyn's imperfections were exposed on Sunday night.

... And Jae Crowder made them pay.

Kyrie Irving's infamous mood swings, confirmed by his ex-teammates, which followed him from Cleveland to Boston to Brooklyn, are the unspoken concern that makes Nets officials queasy. When Irving lapses into these funks, he often shuts down, unwilling to communicate with the coaching staff, front office and sometimes, even his teammates. Nets team sources say one such episode occurred during Brooklyn's trip to China, leaving everyone scratching their heads as to what precipitated it. There's hope that Durant will be able to coax his friend into a better frame of mind. But when presented with that scenario, KD says he will be hands off.

You realize this article is 100% bullshit right? The KD part confirms it

Might have a point there. It's a legitimate journalist, but probably written with a bias.

Nets are extremely methodical in how they approach things, which has worked in the past with no problems b/c they never had a superstar with their own routine (ie Joe Harris).

Something they’ll have to be patient with. It’s new for both parties.

    Final: Pacers 118, Nets 108.
We're only 4 games in, but there aren't many positives to take out of this one.

    1-3

Through 4, the Nets have scored the 3rd most points in the NBA (120.0) - but that doesn’t tell the full story.

Kenny Atkinson spoke on Brooklyn’s offense after the game.

  • Nov 1, 2019

On the Dan LeBetard show Tuesday, MacMullen detailed just how happy Irving is and how he’s committed to the Nets,

“I was in Brooklyn for about four days and he’s happy as I’ve seen him, maybe ever,” said MacMullan.

She also credited him with helping out other, younger players, something everyone from Caris LeVert to Jaylen Hands has talked about.

”He Kyrie is taking the time to be with the younger players. He’s engaging with them. He won the game for them the other night, almost won the game for them on opening night.”

    Final: Nets 123, Rockets 116.

Great team win for Brooklyn. Five players in double figures, led by Taurean Prince (27 points). They held James Harden to 10/31 shooting, 2/16 from 3. Rockets shot 12/48 from 3.
Nets are now 2-3 with a game at Detroit tomorrow.

  • Nov 2, 2019

Kyrie Irving’s 163 points are the most ever scored by a Net through the team’s 1st 5 games of a season, breaking the record, previously held by Vince Carter in the 06-07 season.

... Also 1st Net to score 20+ points in the 1st 5 games of a season since Richard Jefferson

    Brutal loss.

Brooklyn's 14-point 3rd quarter lead turns into a defeat in Detroit, 113-109. Caris LeVert played 3 minutes in the 4th. Pistons played without Griffin, Jackson and Rose.

  • Nov 3, 2019

Not sure why Caris doesn't play more in late game situations. It's ridiculous

  • Nov 3, 2019

Kenny Atkinson on why he didn’t play Caris LeVert down the stretch: “It was matchups defensively. Spencer we wanted to put on Bruce Brown, who was really hurting us. It was more that than anything.”

  • Nov 3, 2019

    Really...Bruce Brown

  • Nov 3, 2019

Tough losses but this team could easily have one loss. It’s a good team just needs to stay consistent and make the right play.
