the way some people have this reflexive instinct to just s*** on old music is weird af. just because some artists have annoying fanbases doesn't make their music bad, tf kinda thinking is that

Born In The USA is a timeless classic, you still hear people who are influenced by that album to this day
amazing artist but i wonder if a lot of people get turned off by him because they start with Born in the USA stuff. good album ofc but for me its like his 6th or 7th best and not one of his masterpieces. you could hear that album and have no idea he was capable of stuff like Nebraska, or some of the jazzy stuff from The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle

This why the music community is toxic and we should be able to enjoy music individual before allowing another person's thoughts get involved this could probably lead to gatekeeping but I love keeping some art experiences sacred to myself before letting someone influence my opinion on changing it that's why I hate critics and think pieces
I have this weird thing with music sites/fans where I enjoy discovering music and appreciating it but I hate cult like praise the urgency of it is overwhelming also talking about it stuff in depth feels uncomfortable sometimes idk how y'all do it
Seriously, dude has so many classics in so many decades it’s insane. His songwriting is impeccable & very relatable, and his backing band suits his vocals so well.
You can literally start with any album from Born To Run - Born in the USA, & you will see what I mean.
How do I not hear his music as 80s Garbo tho
also he got Steve van zandt as his guitarist. how could hate the man…
I said my piece, Chrissy...
