Man, I really wanted to like this show. But I just can't.
I'm on episode 7 of season 3 and it reminds me of Dexter, the way the show became a parody of itself.
I'm glad it got canceled.
Trust me. The ending is 1000000000x better and this show is nothing close to Dexter

I just finished episode 11 of season 2 so I’m not gonna read the spoiler cus I forget what season 3 is about
But season 1 and 2 are f***in amazing tbh. Literally a perfect show so far.....
Don’t see your issue with the show
Well written and acted, beautiful shot. Disgusting kills and complex characters
Perfect show so far
It's funny because I looked up this thread to see if anybody else disliked this show and I'm on the same episode and feel the same way.
Season one's murder-of-the-week format wasn't really doing it for me but I heard it got better so I kept watching. Season two changed up that format and somewhat had my interest around midway but season three has been a chore.
Mads Mikkelsen is probably one of the
only redeeming factors of the show. Hugh Dancy does a good job too, but his character is so awful. The cinematography is interesting at times yet it's overshadowed by the poor and lazy writing - not to mention the surface-level psychobabble.
Honestly, I've enjoyed the cooking montages more than the show itself.
Yup feel exactly the same as you do
Cinematography, Mads and the food monatges are all amazing
But the show as a whole was just uninteresting to me
“has found a new home on Netflix, the talks have been revitalized…I don’t think you’d find a member of the cast that is still alive that would say, “No, thanks.’ We all enjoyed it tremendously.”
I finally finished the show today. The whole time I was ready to call it the worst TV show I have ever watched, but after the second half of the third season I simply couldn't.
The show really shined when it would stop focusing on Will. They did it for a few episodes somewhere mid season two, which is when I started to somewhat enjoy it and then during most of season three. Except season three wasn't enjoyable until they got rid of the awful Mason Verger plot; honestly the worst, most corniest character ever.
The poor writing is highlighted by how good the episodes that closely adapt Red Dragon are. The ending, although a bit cheesy, was well-executed and beautiful.
All in all, I don't regret watching the show as it had it's moments (cinematography, food montages, Mads Mikkelsen's performance, the last six episodes), but I'm baffled as to how it got critical acclaim the first two season.
Would I watch a season 4? Probably. Mainly out of curiosity, but if they hired better writers I feel like it could be a great show.
Anyways. Watched the first episode of Clarice
Felt pretty generic and kinda boring
Hope it gets better

Wish Prime Video picked it up or Max Hannibal. Seemed perfect to transition to Clarice

The rights for Hannibal are split. One company would have to buy the other half. I wish it would happen but clearly, it won’t unfortunately
Watched all 5 episodes of Clarice. Pretty trash. Do not waste your time. Just rewatch Hannibal
I’m 3 episodes into season 3, not feeling it as much as season 1 and 2. Hope it ends on a good note

Couldn’t bring myself to finish it unfortunately

I guess minor spoilers but
It turns better when they leave Italy midway through
Holy CRAP!
So I just received all three bluray sets and I'm starting a rewatch.
The scene where Hannibal calls Garret Jacob Hobbs is just so messed.
That kind of luck as an investigator is just...
