“ hip hop is just f*** b****es , get money wealth because that is what is top of the charts that’s is what black people value that is what most black people listen to . “

Same reason a racist will be quick to tell you unprovoked they do not listen to rap or at most say Eminem they view it as an inferior genre in all forms outside of the tokens . They view it as self destruction of a culture and promotion of violence and hedonism

Some of k pop is trash I never disagreed with you there . Doesn’t change not all of it is manufactured . Not all of it is controlled . Some directly criticizes those in power.

I have broken down how and why hip hop that rises to the top has fallen in terms of questioning the people in power especially post Obama era . You theorize it’s social media existing when at its core hip hop speaking truth to power and being story telling is why it thrived . Now rap is closer to pop in many cases with the goal to sell

Censorship exist whether it’s a Korean exec or a Zionist exec . You just focus on the root of one

And don’t rush to respond to this with one sentence actually read it and respond fully

Some of k pop is trash I never disagreed with you there . Doesn’t change not all of it is manufactured . Not all of it is controlled . Some directly criticizes those in power.

Not all of it is but most of it for sure is manufactured and controlled. Saying not all of it is such a cop out because obviously i dont mean literally the entire genre. Plus Kpop idols have even more control placed on them by their managers and agancy than their western popstar counterparts do.

Hip hop being closest to pop is irrelevant because the US isnt using hip hop as a tool to increase the US's influence abroad.

And you keep bringing up censorship. Nothing I said has anything to do with censorship. I didnt mention censorship a single time. Im not arguing anybody or anything is being censored. I am only arguing that Kpop is pushed by its countries respective government in a way that hip hop is not. Thats a factual statement. Period, theres no arguing against it

last time i checked in on black kpop Stan’s they were letting themselves get called “n word army”

Thats incredibly reductive. The Black fans I know dont stand for that s*** and got chastised for standing up to racist in their community.

Rightfully so. Im sick of niggas tryna give away our culture to mfs who don’t even love or respect the people of our culture in the first place.

BTS is literally the worst example for this a***ogy tho. Yall are ignorant, if you research the band you see that they always pay respect to black culture and hip hop.

It’s not obvious you don’t mean all of it because you have spent the entire thread responding to post where I said not all of it saying “ well actually “ . I never said none of isn’t what you said . Not once . Trying to gauge “ is it the majority is it the rule “ by your hear say is where again sweeping generalizations of “ most of it “ is this comes from . There are specific bands and companies that run them that are worst than others just like the American music industry which I posed to you . If our own industry is filled with jay z , Diddy and Russell Simmons then Zionist execs . We have abuse . We have “ you either signing or leaving through the window “ . We have censorship. We have record labels with life insurance on their rappers cashing out and repressing the records . We have s***ty advances and 360 deals and fighting for masters . Also as I said we have things the government will be sure a record black balls you for politically . We have seen all of that occur in reality

To disregard all of that rather than acknowledge the Asians doing it too . We have pop stars like Bieber who were abused and pumping out music . Britney Spears conservatorship. Ariana grande Nickelodeon and overworked constantly touring

So I’m confused besides “ Korea wants its pop stars to do well so they are known for something other than war “ bothers you . American pop stars are worldwide because for better or worse we are the culture and whiteness is desired . Emulation of blackness by Koreans also isn’t new when black is viewed as cool . They are emulating at times and at times yes it’s exploitation but to say all of it or the majority based on limited knowledge isn’t true . You are speaking in the most main stream of their content . Just as people judge rap by the main stream

The us government benefits from all music going worldwide that doesn’t question them . These are AMERICAN based companies that profit that spend their money in AMERICA. That hire AMERICANS. Our influence doesn’t need to exist because again we have American bases there we are physically there by force . Without American art the view of America would be worse it would just be our imperialism and worldwide sports . Our art is what humanizes us again I’ve said this multiple times

Where did I say it bothers me? I just stated that fact. It is what it is. Their government pushes their artists. IDK why that fact makes you so upset that you have to argue it fort pages and pages. You even acknowledge they do it in a way that the US doesnt.

Rest of what you said is a whole bunch of nothing and responding to more strawmans youve built up in your mind

@Nikedufflebag is right lol. SK views kpop as an industry and a valuable cultural export. The way SK views Kpop is clearly on a different scale than the way U.S views their music industry especially hip hop.

SK literally made a law to let certain Kpop groups deferred enlistment. That s*** aint happening for no rapper
