I really hope that whoever it was that posted the comment I’m thinking of first heard it somewhere else and that it wasn’t an entirely original perspective of a random KTT user , but I remember someone saying that basically if you were not a socialist at a young age then you had no heart, and if you did not eventually grow up and assimilate into participation within the western world culture of bipartisan corporate welfare and a passive acceptance of the wealthy network of fascist pedophile war criminals attempting to manufacture popular consent for the genocide of lower class minority groups, then you have no brains

Well I’m closer to 30 than I am to the age of 20 and thankfully it seems like the horrific revelations that we have all witnessed in the past few months seem to be radicalizing many ordinary people into recognizing that there needs to be either massive reform or a second American revolution that purges our political system of all of the corruption and moral rot of our once great founding ideals and principles

Then it just wont happen because you cannot argue that a civil war and the death and destruction that it would cause would be worth it over what we have now. Despite what op wrote , westerners live in a paradise compared to the other countries destroyed by internal and external conflict (like mine). You would not even get a marginally better outcome after even if it was successful

it won’t happen because we are too passively enamored by our totalitarian state. until people wake up and realize this, we will continue to passively get band aid fixes followed by tear downs followed by band aid fixes. just look at the continuous cycle oscillating between the two all the way back to the World Wars and how much death and violence it took for change to happen. we don’t get civil/women’s rights without death and violence lol. Women were literally starving themselves to death in protest for women’s rights. You have to realize the side you are fighting does not care about your life, so why care about theirs and the country they built? tear it down to rebuild it the right way, until then, we just gonna keep going back and forth like this until you and I die and the next generation takes over this repetitive conversation lmao

ima be real with you man, you have wayyy to much faith in society in 2026 after we failed with hundreds to thousands of thought leaders 50+ years ago lmao. why it’s important to just focus on your family and local community as the world is a loss. we are at the opposite end of them “killing messiah’s” and revolutionaries. where an active war can be going on affecting prices of everything in the entire world and a music festival can sellout in less than hour at the same time

we are not God or the masters of our destiny. do the work in real life for you and yours and those you can help and keep it pushing. or spend your days typing away your fleeting perspectives on life

You want to live in a country where your family members get blown up daily and children die en masse ? Thats what a real revolution will likely lead to . You will throw away hundreds of progress no? Theres a reason why those movements emphasized non violence (i know it was not always so). And those movements primarily was so women and black people can be more integrated in the same instituions and systems that op is complaining about like voting

Im just not sure what this populist vision is really and i become more jaded about it over time
