I thought he was gon blow up around that the time of Shine, the Kaytranada collab and his debut. Just didn’t work out I guess. They tried to “cancel” him too

Nah it's a wrap. RCA was really behind him at the time he signed and it never connected with an audience. Had an entire project with Kaytranada. Didn't hit for him. He had the Dreamville album look that buzzed for a second for him, still nothing after that. I don't even think he's on a major anymore.

like i always said i think the main problem is the fact that his stage name is "Buddy" bruh any rapper with a whack impossible to google rap name is destined for not being known like that (see: Reason, reggie, IDK, Bas, etc) like fr even his government is a cooler name than "Buddy"
