not sure how i feel about this new one :(
it sounds a bit all over the place and the vocals dominate the tune too much in certain parts
when i hear stretches of the song like the one at 7-9 minutes and the one that follows it 10 minutes in, it just makes me wish these ideas were split out and more focused.
i usually like the stuff hes put out where it sounds like 4, 5 or even 6 songs thrown together but it doesnt work here for me
also the mix is super weird. it sounds very tinny and couldve done with more low end imo

confusing structure and iffy mixing is perfect for a hardcore tribute
i think he did it better on claustro though
way better than the thom yorke ones imo cant wait to hear the other side
Saw 12min and I was expecting some rival dealer s*** but this made me wanna rave anyway
whats that?
oh sorry i meant DAW - a program like ableton or FL Studio where the notes are aligned perfectly to the beat
it just sounds very robotic compared to his earlier stuff

How one would make electronic music without daw?

what can you recommend? and generally - do you have a rym or something? I remember you were raving about Compro too when it came out and I ended up loving that album a lot, I dig your taste
Needed a second listen for Chemz but it was hitting hard last night

thats probably the part in the song i like the least

Man thats a whole style of electronic music style that im not qualified to be a person of advice on lol. I don't have RYM but maybe I'll start one now. I recommend listening to a lot of NTS mixes that focus on 90's UK Hardcore & Jungle, thats where the influence of the tracks come from. Plenty of them on there.
I recommend this comp on Foul Play that came out this year too:

this is fantastic, best Burial since Rival Dealer imo
I would've said that but the Charles Webster remix came out this year

did you listen to the Webster album? I only did once but rly liked it tbh, kind of felt like a Burial-esque use of vocals at times too

ay if you start one give me a follow and I'll follow you back my fav website tbh. Even though it's still far from perfect it's just incredibly useful to organize and explore all kinds of music, and I've seen a lot of positive development since I first joined in 2015, when it was still very boomer-core. The more tight ppl join the better it will continue to be (;
thx for that comp rec!
