Not sure Busta has put out a real solid project since The Big Bang but there are still glimpses. Back on My BS in 09 had some real solid tracks and he had a "I BS You Not" mixtape with some heat that sounded dated but was still good around the same time. Year of the Dragon with YMCB in 2012 had some obvious flops but a few fire tracks. His solo return of the Dragon in 2015 was same way.
Basically, like most older rappers, I think he can still put out a great project if he just stays true to HIS sound. If he tries to make something that caters to new sounds it probably is gonna suck but if he gives a good Busta album then it will be good to his fans. Regardless, I'm sure this will have at least a few tracks that you'd put on his "best of" playlist and that's better than nothing.
Busta the most underrated rapper ever BTW.
Preorder out now and it's 22 tracks overall, first track is 7 mins long
no tracklist though?

I hope this is going to be fire. I wonder if there will be any songs produced by Dre since there were some pics of them in the studio together and he shared a really dope snippet some while ago. But Premo prod sounds great already.
I love Paak but I didn't really feel the single they dropped tbh and that track he released some weeks before it was trash.
Still really excited about this tho. I haven't listened to a Busta album since the Big Bang tbh. But that's lowkey one of my favorite albums of all time.

Kind of weak to recycle a verse from a Khaled album though haha
nottz better be all ova this.....
real
Hope he got some, too. Nottz never fell off. His beats are still fire. One of the most underrated producers of all time imo.
He had some big placements back then for Busta, Kanye, Game, Snoop, G-Unit and some more yet I never see him mentioned anywhere. It's not like he's some obscure underground producer.
He doesn't get nearly the respect he deserves. I get that his albums usually had too much filler so he never put out a respected "classic" (maybe The Coming) but he's still got some amazing songs on each album.

I mean Busta has been in the game for such a long time I expect him to recycle some s*** tbh. I never heard that Khaled song tho tbh. Never really listened to his s***.

Always comes back into rotation every few month for over a decade.

IMO Big Bang is also heavily underrated
Don't get me wrong, I definitely like the album. I just felt like Busta was kind of out of place on it. It's not that I didn't like the production or his rapping, but it just didn't have what makes me a fan of his.
The Coming is close to perfect for me. When Disaster Strikes, ELE1 and Anarchy each have enough great songs to be a classics for me, but you just gotta cut out like 4-5 songs off each because there's too much filler. He's got crazy energy in his flows and the production. Good lyrically but not overdoing it with rappity-rap stuff. It's just unique and authentic and I don't think anyone else can make songs like that. The Big Bang for me was stripping all that uniqueness away.
FUUUUUK I JUST HEARD ON HIS INSTA HE HAD A ODB VERSE STASHED SOMEWHERE AND IT FINNA BE ON THE ALBUM

I like The Big Bang but I feel what you saying. I think Bus was trying to transition and find his place in the newer era of hip hop back then. This time around I think he's going back to the roots and that raw s*** that made him unique
