Mayor Pete really encapsulates the youthful energy this government desperately needs. I can't think of a more qualified, charismatic man to lead the Dems to victory

Paid for by the Pete Buttigieg for President Committee

Mayor Pete is a good boy who enjoys his plates of chicken tendies - and sometimes goes wild on date nights and eats his ice cream before his chicken - what an absolute maniac! a real man of the people, look how much he loves his husband.

I think you should be blaming the other person who ran under the dem ticket in 2016 and maybe the entire chairmanship of the DNC

Nah that's a whole other dicussion. For your specific question about why the dem party is in disarray with future leaders, it's because Bernie popularized the progressive movement online and now any normal dem leaders who would have been fine years ago are now crucified for just doings most people are usually fine with

That is 100% not the case and you're retroactively revising what actually happened. I say this as someone who is not a Bernie fan but just need to be fair and "historical". In 2016, Bernie's "online base" as you say did not at all reflect what you're referring to now. There is a reason there were so many editorials comparing Bernie to Trump, and it's not just hitpieces, it's because they genuinely captured distinct audiences which were coalitions between disaffected youth and older bluecollar laborers. Bernie did not focus on virtually any social issues in 2016 - so much so that the DNC & Clinton used it against him, hence why you had hit piece articles about "bernie bros" claiming that bernie's lack of focus on social issues like race, gender, and sexuality was attracting toxic trump supporters.
Clinton & the extended DNC leadership coasted off of exploiting social issues through their campaign and the extended media apparatus by blaming the entirety of the country's sexism/racism/etc for being why she was unpopular, why bernie was popular, why trump was popular, etc. - the DNC ran hitpiece after hitpiece on Bernie accusing him of insane discriminatory prejudices all of which was clearly not true.
After Trump won, the DNC could not help itself but to shed its tactics here, and delved further into only caring about two things: A) "we are not trump" if it came to external races and B) "you are a racist/sexist/homophobe" if it came to internal races. Even until last year there are articles saying Bernie was a sexist for running agsinst Clinton and he's the reason he destroyed her campaign. There are tons of races from the 2018 midterms which were essentially determined solely by the local DNC chapters sabotaging candidates by trying to attach these labels to them.
The "online base" as you say was never influential in politics and did not really merge with irl politicians until post-Trump, whereas the messaging was simply reflective of the DNC's own internal messaging; when Bernie ran again to be the nominee in 2020, Bernie's original staffers were fully replaced with the type of staffers used by the wider DNC - namely because in that time period many of his contemporary supporters had already suffered the effects of that merge (i.e. Justice Democrats/Progressive Caucus being more prominent and incorrectly assuming that was his base now - Justice Dems were NOT nearly as prolific in media pre-2016) hence why his 2020 campaign was more divisive and reflective of these types of politics vs his 2016 one, casting the (incorrect) image that his 2016 campaign was the same way.

I’ll keep it real, Pete has zero chance of being of ever being President due to a multitude of reasons, but primarily because he’s gay.

I would honestly say it's more because he's a literal f***ing robot sociopath who seems to hate his own husband (as per the insane documentary about his campaign) and not feel any form of emotion or human sentiment more than it is him being gay. I genuinely don't think being gay carries as much cultural taboo as it did even 10 years ago because people have moved on from hating gays to hating trans people. While it's likely true in the midwest & deep south you're gonna get s*** on for it in public, on a collective candidate/electoral level I don't think it really matters as much vs socially; the fact Trump warmly elected people like Richard Grenell to administrative positions and republicans cheered it (DEMOCRATS ARE THE REAL RACISTS/SEXISTS/HOMOPHOBES/etc type stuff) is probably enough evidence for that. It's more about the image cast and context of the nominee. I would be 100% certain a non-flamboyant gay politician could go really well if they weren't an inhuman mckinsey sociopath like pete.

I don't really like Bernie but I'll be fair to him as far as electoral politics go (lol); he became a democrat from being an independent thinking he could subvert the party and instead got subverted himself. He's old and naturally out of touch, and barely had a spine to call out the DNC or Clinton for their handling of things in 2016, and genuinely fell for the Trump = Fascism meme. By 2020 he probably genuinely believed what was being said to him and that's why he hired a bunch of braindead twitter addicted staffers to run his campaign for him. A tale as old as time.

Both of these people are just absolute voids of charisma.

Like maybe Kamala appeals to 30 something up liberal women who work in offices but that’s a tiny slice of the population.

Mayor Pete is like the man who wasn’t there, his résumé has consumed him to the point where his flesh may as well be made of recommendation letters. At least Obama had something under there when he scammed 350 million people into letting him windsurf and hang out with Bruce Springsteen for the rest of his life.
