Buying albums makes you more invested in the music and allows you to feel more connected to the album. Streaming has resulted in people chewing up and spitting out albums without giving them a chance, which in turn has led artists to care less about making cohesive and well structured albums.

Streaming music has made me more invested in music by having bigger and more convenient access to any music I am interested in hearing.
Last few albums I bought without hearing prior I actually only listened to a few times anyways, so that turned me off from buying more.

This tbh, but I get @op point. The days before streaming or even digital album leaks I bought many physicals of albums it turned out I didn’t f*** with, so while agree with OP I just buy vinyl of albums I f*** with these days. Holding the physical does make you appreciate it more though
