Anyone who works in a call center, this is your place to vent. Have at it!

one of my best friends worked at one for a gap year. think it was a valuable experience for him

  • Jul 30, 2020

    couldn’t do it

i hate customers and people b****ing about s*** that isn’t my fault.

worked in store customer service at a retail company in my early 20s and when customers would b**** at me I’d give them attitude and the worst “service”

people who came to me nice got everything they needed though

anyway, i’m just glad i don’t work with customers anymore. i’m not ever going back

part of my job involves overseeing a call team from a***ytics/operations point of view. so I aint here to vent, but I know a lot about it....

name of the game = reduce call center staff and push people into online webforms.

f***ing trash but they're easy jobs that pay 2-3$ above minimum wage (at least here in Canada)

first time I was working for ADT Security services as a Tech Support/Customer Support (they decided to merge both positions to save money, f***ing goofs), lasted for about a year but the compagny was going to s*** so I was dealing with unhappy customers all day lmao f*** that. Try troubleshooting an alarm system over the phone with customers that don't even use cellphones ... oh and don't get me started about all the s*** I got for techs. that would never show up ... worked my year there, took my 10 days of paid vacation, and dipped

second time I was working as a 411/911 dispatcher for a bunch of american cellular services (AT&T, Verizon, Spectrum, Windstream, CenturyLink, etc.) which was even worst cause I literally dealt with mostly 65+ years old who are either inherently racist, have dementia and/or are straight up disrespectful. Not gonna lie, I didn't leave this job gracefully. Although I gave in my 2 weeks I just started telling people off over the phone one particular elderly customer was calling me racial slurs (mexican to be specific) so I told him he's upset cause mexicans be f***ing his wife, boyyy was he upset

one thing that second job showed me is that y'all Americans really be openly racist like that, I done heard 10+ customers a day making racist remarks towards mexicans and blacks
