Whether or not a rapper should continue dropping is, for me, exclusively based on how their last project was, and how it was relative to their catalog
Kendrick's most recent album is Mr. Morale, a modern classic, and has no misses, so I'm down for more Kendrick even if the white people on this site s*** on him because he makes socially conscious music that's often about race.
J. Cole's most recent album is The Off-Season, which was good. Definitely interested to see what he's going to drop next, and his catalog is pretty solid overall.
Drake's most recent album is For All The Dogs, and it was okay, his best solo in a while. It's hit or miss whether I'd want to hear another one, but Scary Hours 3 is promising. But I thought Scorpion and especially CLB were trash.
Basically, I could live without a new Drake album but I'm not rooting against him, I'd listen to a new Cole album but I'm not like anticipating it, and I'm looking forward to Kendrick's next album.
agree except kendrick

Is this all you do all day on the internet lil bro? Try to find anything that can be remotely linked to Nicki and just post whatever in it?
Niggas gave you that perma cause you need COUNSELING bro.
Nah you bugging they all in they 30s we got at least 5-10 years left of big 3 albums and I’m here for it
10 years from now Drake will be 47, Kendrick will be 46, and Cole will be 48
Hov dropped 444 at 48 and Nas started the Kings Disease series at 47
Only thing that might prevent them from getting that far other than them intentionally falling back is if commercial culture shifts away from rap and they gradually loose relevance but I don’t see that happening at least not to any significant degree

Great perspective

Facts, this another key phase in their careers. Can’t wait to see whatever they cook up tbh
At least it’d force some of you on here to either move on to a new rapper or a new genre
Who your faves? Put me on
Eminem, NF, and Logic are my big 3 fr 🤞 real rap, all bars no gimmicks

You actually right. Perhaps its that I dont want them to stop making music. Rather than them stop being at the core focal point of the culture.
You right. Musicians and Creatives should create their whole life tbh.
Like imagine if everybody was still on Jay/Wayne/Em when Kendrick/Cole/Drake were coming up

Different time and Hip-Hop only 50 years old, there has not been enough time passed to say a run like the previous one was supposed to be the same as the last
Plus, the only one from the last era that can still make great and consistent music is Ye
What we have now is currently far superior to what we have coming

Agreed. I been saying this exact same thing for the longest.
I don't know why a lot of fans want their favorite artists to retire in their mid 30's, that age is still relatively young in the grand scheme of things when it comes to making music. They still have a lot more music left in them to give.
Kendrick has nothing left to say tbh
kendrick the only one of the last generation who is really pushing boundaries and touching on new things

I'm personality cool on that Hov album though
I think this 3s later life will be a lot different as they'll all be up multiple billions by then
We need all three because if the Big 3 disappear then hip hop is officially dead
Old head mentality tbh
