These days you can guess when an album is gonna be a "classic" before it even drops (based on hype, look at ea)
Mark my words people will call wlr and clb classics after they drop

I mean you don't need to know the lyrics to enjoy it. I still don't know the vast majority of die lit tbh and I've heard it 100s of times
Hell idk what he says on ST and that's like 4 years old
Also most carti fans have it stuck in their head wlr is a classic already without hearing it and ye fans do the same thing. Really any stans will do that and it's evident on Twitter

I agree with that totally but it's always been kind of a trash term
My dad put me onto Pink Floyd like 15 years ago and said animals is a classic
Been in my head as a classic for like 10 years till I found out literally no one calls it a classic and most people don't even call it top 3 Floyd
The term been cheeks for decaaaades

I think now it means "album that certain groups of people think is good"
No longer means timeless whatsoever.
I wanna put examples but people will get salty since it's so controversial but
If we look at the last ten years what is classic the same way illmatic or 36 chambers is? Not many. Yet every month people call the hot project classic.
Just a dead term and internet nerds needa stop giving it power to themselves
