I dont really have an opinion on Elon tbh. To me hes a grey character. Like electric cars are good. I think funding space exploration is good. Nobody can convince me big oil is worse than him when you look at plastic, climate change, lead, the destruction of cities layouts. Like it’s just mind boggling how muhc damage oil companies have done. I cant put it into words how evil those companies are. I disagree with a lot of what he does though. It’s just the competition for him is bottom of the barrel. and everyone he's pitted against thinks like he does, but also like is responsible for millions of people dying.

But my thing with tax cuts, which i do on principal disagree with
for the rich. Im pro universal healthcare, education, dental and a UBI and think theyre essential. But the money is mostly spent on war for the usa. The biggest issue imo isnt the lack of money going to the us government, it has plenty, its how its spent. And having more or less money going in wont change the real issue, which is how it’s spent. With or without tax cuts, the usa can afford all of those things i think a country needs. To me thats a far bigger issue than tax cuts or not.
This might be my hottest take itt and it’s ok if people disagree. But its how i see things

Kinda off topic. When i said smart people i didnt have him on mind at all. I meant more certain academics at the best universities in the world and stuff.

I was hoping it wouldn’t end like this, but I kept seeing more and more trump signs when I went out.
I felt like we were for sure cooked. Then some of my buddies reassured me, talking about how that just means his supporters are more extreme, not more plentiful.
