Not really, debate gaffes were unforced

Trump had the momentum/upper hand over Biden before the debate, that was just the tipping point. The general idea, that Democrats felt Biden had no chance against Trump so they replaced him with a candidate who now seems to have the upper hand on Trump, still stands regardless of the debate and its specifics.
