in order to win trump needs to capture either a larger swathe of moderate or working white families (as in, the man AND the woman), middle to upper class white women, or some variant/portion of the minority vote. those are the only 3 pools he can draw from. when it comes to standard white men, he's already largely voting well with this pool and the difference in simply getting more white men to vote is negligible; even if he somehow converted post-college middle to upper middle class white men to vote for him he'd still lose.
as it stands trump's coalition for voting is primarily the same as in 2020, which has fluctuated with moderates and independents (mainly middle class white men & women). this has been enough to fluctuate his polling but on a per-state basis is incredibly fragile. if you break down the demographics he would need to actually capture to win:

moderate/working white families: he's relying on momentum from his grandiose persona and social issues. issue is that these people are largely not evangelicals, they're also not by and large social policy/one issue voters at large. while they may not necessarily vote kamala, these are "split ballot" voters who sometimes vote between party lines depending on factors which are typically economic (i.e. unions). he hasn't said anything that actually appeals to these people (if anything his messaging appeals less and less and it shows in his polsl).

middle to upper class white women (suburban & urban white women): overwhelmingly vote democrat due to mixture of liberal social & economic policies, and he's done 0 things to court their cross-over vote. the only thing he's done is try to drop abortion from his platform which isn't swaying anyone already voting democrat. if he loses in november, it will almost certainly be due to this demographic specifically - statistically this is why he lost 2020.

minority demographics vote: he's tried to pander to black voters but it's obviously surface level and not turning any heads. polls had him at 0% with black voters in some states. this s*** isn't helping him here. he's also completely ignored (like literally completely ignored) latino voters. he's done absolutely nothing for what arguably isn't even really a "minority" demographic anymore.
