Oh my god? Are we back???
F***
Both nominees making big mistakes with their VP picks
vance was a much, much worse pick
lowest vp approval ratings in HISTORY before he even gets into office and dipped his polling like 10% AFTER AN ASSASSINATION
it's possible
Fingers crossed but I don't have a lot of hope lmao

Like Shapiro is bad but Vance is BAD. Like downright embarrassingly bad

For sure but Shapiro hasn’t even gotten to speak as the VP candidate yet and is already going to alienate a ton of young voters who’s #1 issue is Palestine, GOP probably isn’t even smart enough to play on it though

the GOP is even more pro-israel than Dems, trump literally said unless he's elected israel will cease to exist and Dems treat jews worse than any other minority group in american history
shapiro alienates a portion of traditional DNC voters but they aren't going to trump. i don't think shapiro is a good pick at all when you break down regional politics but i also think it's probably less of a bad pick than vance who is universally alienating

I guess the hate for it will come from within the left anyways, she has to energize the young vote and this was a big missed opportunity imo
Nobody is going to trump over this but some will stay home

yeah agreed there
Ehh I don’t buy that this is in any way a “tell” of her choice (and I still stand by my original assumption that she won’t finalize her choice until Saturday or Sunday, and any “news” that comes out about her choice today is just speculation)
I feel like this video is just Pennsylvania people trying to advocate for Shapiro to be the VP choice, and they have no clue who Kamala will actually select

Why do you think Shapiro is bad for regional politics — how do you think he tangibly hurts Kamala’s electoral odds more than he helps them (given that Pennsylvania is likely the tipping point state)?
Btw that’s not meant to be sarcastic, I keep flipping back and forth between thinking whether he helps or hurts more electorally, some I’m curious what your take is
beshear is definitely the best pick from Harris's strategic pov
he's a boring white guy with a boring white family who has very high approval ratings in an otherwise red state and has a (by democrat standards) decent to amicable economic policies that appeal to both crossover voters and the economic base trump has been trying to grab
i think from her pov walz is a fine pick in terms of policy but i don't see what strategic advantage he really has by comparison
Going along with the reply I just sent you above, this has been why I was down with Beshear all along, articulated very well
But I suppose the counter argument would be that all those positives you listed about Beshear aren’t really going to actually move the needle given that he would just be the VP candidate and not the president, and people don’t usually care about positives that VPs bring, only if they bring negatives. The only way that VPs usually have a tangible positive effect on a race is if they are very well known and popular in their home state and it’s a swing state (which is the case for Shapiro)
Again, just the counter argument that could be brought up — my gut tells me Beshear is a better choice (and my personal preference as well)
Sorry to keep notifying you @krishna_bound but I always respect your takes so I’m just curious what your thoughts are electorally on Walz while we’re at it
i was talking with @mjpplus in here yesterday about how he might not appeal to people as well as Beshear because of age/appearance/home state/perception, but with Pelosi supposedly on board I’m curious what you think of him too
Why you posting pro Trump stuff now?
Gamer repression
Oh god I can tell what kind of person this guy is off that "this is the most important call in my life" line
nauseating
?
You were telling me the other day about how upset I was about an “anti trump bias” because I pointed out OP wouldn’t acknowledge that Kamala also met with Netanyahu

Yall need to leave that guy alone, trump meeting netanyahu was objectively the bigger story.
