And you’re the type of idiot that thinks the average voter knows every detail about what’s happening in petty bipartisan bullshit

from a strategic point of view, democrats need a transformative figure that is actively antagonistic to the core basis of the party

people like Bernie, AOC, or the DSA (lol) are not really antagonistic toward the party enough to enact real change. they kind of walk the border of saying "radical" things vs the primary party line but they at the end of the day support the wider power structure of the party. saying a few things sometimes and then giving lip service to and/or having a few unpatterned votes doesn't really count for much

trump really came into the GOP and f***ing destroyed it from the top down. many people within the party now - regardless of what you or I think of them - like Kari Lake, etc. never would have been able to exist prior to 2016

yaaaa , and I just have no clue who tf that person would be lol

Nah this is facts though. Everybody remembers in 2016 when the Republicans initially tried to paint Trump as this deranged outsider that had no chance.

Ted Cruz was trying so hard to appear as the more sensible option and than Trump sonned him and dissed his wife and still had Cruz campaigning for him after he dropped out

I didn't say they needed to be dropped. But they made it a large talking point and got clapped by anti-trans ads every 90 seconds. Do you think those ads weren't effective? Because they were

You said they made it a core issue of their campaign. That is simply not true and speaks more to the propaganda machine of the right wing (which is admittedly very good) than anything the Ds ran on

Haven’t done an in-depth a***ysis on this but from what I can see, Kamala lost because she consistently alienated blue voters and gave almost no reason to vote for her. People blaming latinos or Muslims or really anyone BUT the DNC are f***ing retarded

Gonna put my data science skills to use and write a report on this election when I get the chance

People shouldn’t have to be convinced to not vote for a racist, sexist, homophobic, fascist who is also a convicted felon. The inherit biases and prejudices of this country’s citizens are the problem.

People’s minds have been brainwashed by the facade of politics. This election was a simple question of human decency.

Liberal narcissists like you frame Kamala’s loss as a result of the masses being too “brainwashed, racist and stupid,” rather than accepting that she lost over committing the worst genocide since the Holocaust.

“This election was a simple question of human decency” — you’re not wrong about that

I have not been following politics my entire life. im 25 going on 26, picked it up in 2015/16 like many others my age I imagine.

In that 8 years, the dems have been ALL OVER THE MAP, and I just dont think it's helped

they were for defund the police, then pumped more money into the cops

they were leaning to engage in convo of universal health care, then dropped it

they were anti wall, now they are semi trying to outflank the right on immigration and "law and order"

like they just need ANY semblance of an identity, and have big ticket items that they are actively trying to sell voters.

winning politricks is all about selling, and they are bad sellers.

all of these things i mention they were "for" i merely mean optically. idk if they had any intention of actually sticking to these things.

Obama they started strong then quickly fell off

    nytimes.com/2011/12/16/opinion/politics-over-principle.html

Obama signed a law to indefinitely detain american citizens which is fascist in nature but most people in this thread and in general do not read

For the one hundredth time, if you think the answer to a genocide funding commander in chief is Donald Trump, then congratulations.
