Protestors interrupted her interview and Colbert handled it like a badass. But you can tell the heat is getting to the people in the hot chair.

Impressive journalism by Colbert. Pelosi said a bunch of pc bullshit. We need a major wave of voting that gets most these politicians out. Voting 3rd party straight down the ballot.
So what is trumps view on Palestine? He doesn’t care about them?
He was extremely giving to netenyahu and Israel as a whole. Pretty sure this campaign he’s just given vague words of ‘I’ll let netenyahu finish the job and get it done’ etc

So either or on this matter we are f***ed. I know the Palestine protestors want to punish the Dems but I can see them rioting if Trump wins.
I was going to post this long rambling essay in the DNC thread but it ended up turning into a whole different rant entirely.
If the Democratic party had a single inkling of a braloserl they would let a Palestinian speak on the DNC stage tonight, there's no reason why they shouldn't
The Uncommitted Movement even was okay with a vetted speech and the DNC still denied it. The Democratic made good electoral moves since the change to Kamala until now. Now is a great time for you to at least put one foot behind the movement so that electorally you could gain more support.
I know politically they have to play the game of appeasing "Israel" and more than likely their positive stance on them won't change even after this Genocide ends. But for a party who is seemingly head over heels on wanting a two state solution all they're doing is telling, not showing. Optically, a party who wants a two state solution should let people from (directly or someone with family) both proposed states to speak.
I hope that this changes, there are still several hours til speeches begin and they can fit in five minutes for somebody. S*** they've been running late every night it's not like they can't make the room. I was very, very shocked that Biden acknowledged the protests in a semi positive light when he spoke the other night and Kamala should do the same, but even more.
If she wants a surefire win, she has to advocate more for the Palestinian people. The baseline "We're working on a two state solution and a ceasefire" is not enough. Even just hinting at an arms embargo would be seen as a positive sign.
I feel like the US is afraid to even put their foot down with "Israel." The UK and France have done it and absolutely nothing has happened to them. Now I also realize that AIPAC has almost everything to do with framing America's political stance on "Israel" so there would be difficulty there hence why electorally I don't think she should go full fledge against "Israel," but Kamala should at least signal she's going to be tougher on them.
There is no realistic reality where a third party is going to have a chance at getting 5% of the vote. A third party candidate is never going to get enough support without building a base. Through all the elections I have voted in since turning 18 (primaries, general elections, local elections, etc.) I have never seen a third party socialist or even democratic socialist candidate appear on my ballot. I assume it's a similar case in many other places. That is what has to change in order for this country to fundamentally change, but it has to be from the ground up. It is very unrealistic for a third party candidate to just win the presidential election without any party influence in DC or even state and local governments.
The party needs to make some strides in showing that they care about ending this genocide if they even want to gain another voting bloc. Once Trump is completely out of the picture by way of another electoral loss and a subsequent ☠️ I feel that a lot of people will find it much easier to speak out against the Democratic party and their policies. They claim to be progressive but not they're really not. It's like they're handing out a cookie to a starving person saying "vote for me and I'll give this to you" when in reality you need much more than the cookie. Then they hang the threat of Republicans being evil saying "that guy will take the cookie, eat it himself, and shoot you in the face" which for the most part is true. I think Conservatism is a disease that needs to be eradicated. Liberalism is close to that but at least they have a semblance of an inkling of the right ideas. Like 0.1% but it's better than -100%.
I feel like I ended up rambling but point being, the Democratic party will be an easier party to fight against if we want real change to be made. But it can't come at the drop of the hat of a random third party presidential win. After this election there needs to be real organization in local communities from third parties to win seats on school boards, city councils, then state government, and then eventually the federal government.
Of course it is and will always be Free Palestine and put an end to the Israeli apartheid state.
So either or on this matter we are f***ed. I know the Palestine protestors want to punish the Dems but I can see them rioting if Trump wins.
Punishing the dems is just one part of it, yeah they’ve been the administration and overseen/been an integral part of the bloodshed. But it’s also a matter of knowing that organising to put pressure on them is perhaps a more fruitful effort that could lead to results. The dems are (meant to be, lol) more likely to listen, change course, listen, adapt etc. and democrat voters/institutions are more sympathetic and malleable to the cause
They’re doing everything the democrats would want, adapting their speeches perfectly for the convention audience, and still being cast out
Here’s my thing and let me be realistic. I think Trump is going to win. I’m emotionally preparing for it.
However, I want to wake up after Election Day and be proven wrong. I will vote for Harris, Trump is too old and is just too much like a bratty schoolgirl throwing a tantrum nowadays especially after getting shot. I wanted to give him a second chance but he’s just not doing it right
But the pull this guy has on everyone, including people here like me is indescribable.
I can’t escape him mentally. He has me by the throat mentally. He got what he wanted, the ultimate overdose of fame.
Never underestimate your opponent.
Thats why Hillary lost in 2016. That comey letter dealt the final blow to her campaign.
So what is trumps view on Palestine? He doesn’t care about them?
Dont let anyone downplay it, he is a vehement anti-palestinian racist, and wants them to be quickly eradicated instead of slowly eradicated.
UAW putting pressure on too
This is good. There's still like 7 hours until speeches begin. If enough organizations such as UAW, other Unions, and even prominent members of the party advocate for it, there is a chance that it could still happen.

This is like a lay-up good optics move, its insane the stranglehold Israel got on these mfers

The pressure essentially comes from democrats who do not want to be primaried by aipac / jstreet etc.

People don't like hearing it but voting 3rd party down the ballot at the present moment will ensure a lot worse stuff to happen for people who truly care about this s***

like I've tried to explain to people, israel is a key component of inter-imperialist competition in the middle east and north africa. the current US administration sees Israel as an essential part of projecting hard power across the region whereas other imperialist powers see Israel as a fetter on the free flow of capital to the region and the establishment of effective gulf neocolonies. this is the actual backdrop to the current political moment.
