Tbf nobody won this debate and neither Vance or Walz did a convincing enough job to persuade the other side of the political spectrum to vote for their candidate

EDIT: And just like the first debate. If your mind was already set in stone on voting for Trump or Kamala, then this VP debate will not change that

  • I promise you not answering whether trump won or lost in 2020 will not matter at all to any voter

nobody cares about that s*** anymore

Unfortunately I think Vance won this debate, he came across as reasonable and balanced out the insanity Trump brought vs Kamala in the first debate

No but it provided some hope that we can eventually transition back to civil politics and less polarity in this country

Both made some good points, found common ground on some issues, and were largely respectful even when attacking each others beliefs

This was a W for america

caught the last quarter maybe. the kissing between the two candidates was weird imo! but that’s american politics and a politics we yearn for i guess? no name calling just civil debate. can come across as odd at times though after this mass level of polarization and being so chummy with the right even though they stand? for what’s being labeled as threats to our democracy? idk. politics 101 i guess but still wack

I said this a week or two ago, but just to reiterate before the debate starts:

My prediction is that post-debate polling for who “won” will show it as close to a tie. I really do think that people who assume that because Vance is such an awkward human being he’s going to s*** the bed are just flat out wrong. I really do think he’s actually pretty intelligent and quick thinking and most of all — he is not Trump. He’s not going to let his emotions get the best of him, and he’s going to stay on message.

On the other side, I think this is a great opportunity for Walz to try to sell people on Kamala’s economic message, because he’s not going to be playing the bait game in this debate like she did. And he’s probably a better communicator than she is overall.

So just wanna do a victory lap that I was right (again, said this a month ago too when everyone else said Vance would get destroyed lol)

That being said, VP debates hardly move the needle at all, and I still expect this to come up a virtual tie in terms of who “won”, so no way do I see it making a difference in the state/national polls

That these two men have a flourishing but discrete homosexual relationship with each other. Good for them!
