New VagabondYou are right. Trump does not have the power to retreat the army from the Middle East, East Asia etc or make other large scale decisions in that type of scale
I am hoping for the first changes on a smaller scale. During Trump's first tenure was the first time, I have seen the EU become more self reliant in their decisions. Because they couldn’t run to the their daddy US anymore with Donald in office. However, I am not a fan of the EU either. Its just an example. I am hoping that a second term accelerates the progress of BRICS and AU.
youre missing the essence of the EU's "independence" post-2016, which is the nature of inter-imperialist competition itself. this has nothing to do with Trump, who is more like a symptom than a cause.
also the EU was always independent even if they occasionally shared political goals with American imperialism at certain times. the AU is very much a neocolonial body (a sham of the old OAU if you will) and BRICS is basically nothing, im not sure why anybody would care about either.
