Not teach me a full course but point me in the direction of trusted and preferably unbiased (as hard as it may be to find) literature and media to educate me on how the world works the way it does politically speaking
Sorry if I sound like a dumbass but I just want to be able to better understand these global issues at the best level I can
It would take a while and theres so much to talk about that an overview would be difficult. Specific topics would be easier
But generally speaking, america and global capitalism has f***ed up most of the world
If u believe there is any unbiased account of history whatsoever i have some healing potion to sell to you

However a consensus can be met, historians and universities work across borders to discuss topics its not just a singular point of view that hasn't been challenged. At some point, conclusions can be drawn in order to reach a consensus (that anybody can still argue with critical thinking of course)

Even that consensus depends on ideological and national biases
An US and UK white bourgeois historian will agree with one another most of the time -that's not a surprise
But historians with a more heterodox view might regard events differently
History isn't just a collection of factoids but rather narratives being spun out of them by including some, leaving out others, exaggerating, underestimating and contextualizing.
China owns Africa. EU exports too much. America imports too much. Russia does whatever tf they feel like. Noone gives a s*** about 80% of the world population.
Everybody gets mad.

I respect your opinion it's an interesting subject
as much as I love this vid, its just a very very very very generalized pop history vid. op is talking specifically about modern historical matters.
Globalization and it's benefits/drawbacks
EU's internal conflict between richer and poorer members, EU authority vs domestic authority
China's authoritarianism and move away from Western partnerships
Middle East being ruined by proxy wars perpetuated by the US, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Iran
Africa's development and China's investment/imperialism
Populism growing in the US and other countries
Those are the main things, I don't know as much about South America
LMAO this is why I love KTT2. Putting me into lil gold nuggets like this vid thank you for sharing!

Lol nah I’m not that educated on a global scale
I can do a decent rundown and New Zealand and American but not much more
Just read as much as you can about topics you’re interested in
Wikipedia is a good starting place, then look for books about subjects that interest you. Just research the author beforehand and maybe look up reviews of the book by other academics

Clue us in with New Zealand’s situation

It’s meant to be a crash course for AP World History. I believe it was posted the night before the exam that year
