If it was a sample it would be in the credits. Looked at them and it doesn’t seem like there’s a sample. Leon Thomas III is credited as a writer and background vocals. I didn’t listen to the whole song but I think he probably sang some s*** and then 1da sampled it and sped it up. He has a good enough R&B voice to pull that off

It’s becoming more and more common in the mainstream that people make “samples” like that instead of paying to really sample some s***
