    He got street hits

Don’t need suburban hot 100 hits

Billboard hit songs are only determined by what the executives want to be hot at the moment, YB is blackballed so he’ll never get an official one but he’s breaking crazy records even without industry help

yeah OPs title vs his post is crazy

i hear YB outside literally every day and he is the only artist i can say that about

hearing 2 people play it in your hometown does not make something a hit.

    for sure

  • Sep 18, 2022

I don't think so, his business model isn't really hit-centric

I live in another country and that's all I legit hear coming from cars him or rod wave, idk why these users have this archaic measurement on a hit, sales is a good indicator on what the music world determines a hit for sure and bb position but not always, legit in real life a lot of kids from maybe 10-25 can recite at least 4 yb songs with no issues

This definitely isn’t true lol, even though label spend is a big factor.

YB could get an organic hit, it’s possible.

I got a whole video of a house party crowd rapping YB word for word bruh ya'll gotta stop with this no one listens to YB s*** lol

  • Sep 18, 2022

The chances of YB getting a solo top 5 is near impossible.

He has multiple and if you don’t get this you’re just completely out of touch

He's never made a song that rings like a memorable hit. This is part of the reason why i think the Wayne comparisons are stupid asf

    You’re a moron

xo tour life peaked at #7 and that should tell you what you need to know about ybs shot at a top 5 hit

Xo was also a loosie drop. It took weeks for it to catch on.

If it was a lead single for LIR2 it would have went #1

why we gonna act like hearing a song in your neighborhood mean something? Youngboy does not have a career defining hit that everyone knows yet. That's a fact

Bro I have literally heard a dude blasting Cross Me in the next door bathroom stall while taking a s*** at work

    I hear this s*** constantly

YB is a massively popular artist and it’s extremely weird the hoops you all try to jump through to deny this

It just shows me you clearly have no idea what’s going on in hip hop

What country are you from btw?

  • Sep 18, 2022

“Nobody listening to YB, all his music sounds the same”

Thanks for the input poster from Kyrgyzstan

He’s playing a different game than chasing billboard hits. He got a cult following and independent at age 22.

He barely does features or use social media. Billboard isn’t how u should judge his success

I never said he aint popular. Tf r u on? Just said he aint got a hit and that's ok. What's wrong with that? There's lots of popular artists that don't got those career defining hits and im sure youngboy will get one eventually just stop comparing him to Wayne

This is the best explanation. The “I hear him everywhere” thing is a bit anecdotal
