I know this thread probably will be eventually locked at some point and this isn’t the best place to have a mature discussion, but I seriously can’t be the only person who is dumbfounded by this. All over the internet (Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, etc) I see comments on articles or instances of Asian American hate that are filled with singling out the African American community as the sole source of this uptick since this has become the prominent issue over the last year or so. I will not deny that there have been cases both prominent (LA in the 90s) and more obscure that fit this narrative, but are people really blind to over a century of racism from the government level all the way down to the general populace?
