the plan was to hurt his credibility similar to how in a trial you poke holes in a client's testimony in order to make what they are saying look bad to the public.

Hypothetically, Kendrick says his big joker, "you have a kid" and says it with the utmost confidence just to be told "lol we told you that you bean." would make Kendrick look dumb and overreactive towards false information. Hence swaying the public towards you. The catch is that "fact checking" has never worked in any rap beef at all since the 1980s. BUUUUT (if most of us are following the law of common sense) that's all cap because if someone had a record of giving somebody the fake information. Wouldn't the person (who's social media savvy) have documentation of giving said information?
