I get so confused with HDR vs HDR10+ vs HDR10 labeling, like descriptions are never clear if it's HDR10+ or just regular HDR10/HDR
@Lil_Neon_Baebows pls halp
Are you looking to spend more then $800? Because HDR10+ isnt cheap
Yea I'd keep it for awhile

HDR10 and HDR10+ isn't a certain spec or quality as much as it is a mastering standard for media.
PC Games these days are usually mastered in HDR10 if they support HDR and HDR10+ has only been added to TVs as far as I know.
Your best bet is getting something that supports HDR10, has local dimming zones and then as many nits as possible
What's your budget?

This is the nicest monitor I've seen for under $800 with 600 nits, 4k and lots of local dimming zones
displayninja.com/hdr-monitor-list
You can use that website to sort out different models, peak brightness is the nits
Looking around online though and it seems like tons of these monitors are out of stock or a bit overpriced if they are in stock right now
This is the monitor I currently use, it has 400 nits and no local dimming zones so the black levels aren't as good as the one I linked up top, but I got it open box from Best Buy for $330 years ago.. and a few months back I saw um on Amazon for $300 now they're out of stock kinda seems like a bad time to buy
Samsung is saying that there going to drop some crazy HDR10+ OLED monitors next year, I'm waiting for those hopefully they ain't too much
Cant wait until they make 700+ nits brightness (true hdr) more affordable
once we have 1000 nit oled 4k monitors and 8k tvs that won't cost me a kidney, that will be peak HDR
the fact Samsung said their going to change all their factories in China and South Korea from LCD to OLED by next year gives me hope though
if they start mass producing bigger OLEDs costs will surely fall
right now to make an OLED they have to do it in a vacuum sealed tube which makes the cost way higher cause the supply is pretty low, there is now a new way for these companies to print these panels without the vacuum tube
all HDR10 stuff is mastered on screens with OLED level black levels and with 1000 nits of output
