Apr 23, 2023I am hoping the mainstream trap era finally dies. We get a Female Rappers takeover period and then transition back to black boy- and girlgroups then finally let afro music takeover. The low bpm of trap is really not it anymore. I wanna dance and have fun and feel love and not some uh gangster ratatara kill our ops bs. I am tired of Male Hyper Masculinity. Lets get some balance.

The Darkest AngelBig 3 is now Drake, Carti, YB in that order. The rest of mainstream hip-hop is getting stagnant but the underground is still thriving by mixing in new genres so don't expect trap or dusthead rap recommendations. Keep an eye out for Ice Spice and Yeat to be hot this year but we'll see who actually sticks around
