So many of you saying that this is a top tier album simply because we ALSO hated on Yeezus like this.

And tbh, I don’t remember the hate for Yeezus being like this. It definitely wasn’t this warranted either. Like we weren’t able to dissect it on a logical level and explain why it’s just not that good, like we are with this. It was more just emotional uncertainty. Two different hates.

But hey maybe I’m wrong. I know some of you have a lot of time on your hands. Someone go and dig up a few threads from KTT1 from 2013 in which we apparently just s*** on it soooooooo hard.

Yeezus was also much more of a mainstream release, so I’d say there was a lot more people around TO hate on the album

the yeezus hate was from people who thought it was "weird" and wanted more traditional rap records.

Defenders are trying to make the same argument for why people are s***ting on Jesus is King, but it has nothing to do with it being a gospel album.

You don’t need to waste your time. Yeezus definitely had a lot of people hating on it. I remember people were so shocked by the reviews than the opinion slowly shifted.

Not saying the same case for JIK just clarifying what happened
