Like I understand Germany invaded France but what was Vichy‘s role in it and how are the French affected necessarily
It was basically a puppet state that the germans propped up in occupied france during the war

Vichy? Or France as a whole?
Vichy? Or France as a whole?
It was technically it's own neutral state but it was basically powerless. The rest of france was already occupied by the Germans
They hosted a movie premier where the americans were able to lock all of germany’s leadership (including hitler) into a small confined space and blew it up, thus ending the war

epic
france capitulated at half around. So, after a while half the country was french and half was german occupied. They did this so the country could continue to live and the cities would not get bombed. Better decision in my opinion. Paris wouldnt be what it is today without that decision and many other cities as well.
They did have insurgencies and many soldiers continued to fight, f.e. in Africa.
