Not rly bc like Rosa Luxemburg said it's socialism or barbarism that comes after, very well could be barbarism or a painful road to socialism if humanity is to be that lucky
not open to hearing anything about wealth sharing from a woman who had a baby with one of the wealthiest men ever
Vro I could care less too
It's through making tech more accessible is what gives people more opportunity and power to uplift themselves and a way to that is more innovation
People who clown space travel are lames because humanity achieve greater milestones were marked by better ways of travel
Fascinating that we're two pages in and literally no one responded directly to what I posted instead everyone was saying some random stuff either jokes about capitalism, socialism or just something not related

I think its just going to increase poverty, doubt ubi would be enough with the way things are going everything keeps increasing in price.
That’s the theory but we know better
Any and all technology built by capitalism cannot in and of itself be the death of capitalism it, like so many other bright eye ideas and ideals, merely becomes another tool for its continued advancement. A rose by any other name if you will
Yes and one day you’ll be able to do nothing for a living while robots pay for you to eat your designated soup from the local food kitchen and you live for free forever
actually, yes. there is a heterodox economic theory that proclaims that since capitalism is so efficient, it will eventually destroy itself

I think The only problem is that the wealth gap will just continue to increase bc then these corporations won’t be spreading their earnings amongst working class people, it will all just go in their pockets. And they will definitely influence gov and s*** like they do already to maintain that system.
As it stands right now a single stationary robot chef costs about 10 times as much as a McDonalds employee. If we're gonna say every 2 years or so that cost goes down 10% I think its more likely we have other things that cause a shift towards socialism then automation.

If we get to a point like Futurama who knows what will happen. I don't think we will get to a point in our lives where no one will be able to find jobs because technology is so advanced.
No, because if a government still enforces the ownership of automation then it’s still capitalism
And if anything it’ll be harder to combat

But that's what happening now
What I'm saying is that when 70% of the world is out of job or struggling to get jobs capitalism will eat itself alive
How can you (as gov) openly support a system in which 50% of your citizens are unemployed
No man and y'all need to stop advancing this s*** ass idea.
Thank you for explaining now I see

and of course we're not talking about it happening in next 10 years but just hypothetically somewhere in the future
There are economists out there saying capitalism can survive the next 2500 years lol
Another person trying to tell me I can’t make past a certain point
Don’t listen to them. Get that bag.

I think in 2500 years its very possible most lower to upper middle class jobs are taken up by robots/automation. Only jobs left would be law enforcement, politics, doctors, psychologists, lawyers, engineers, and scientists maybe teachers and childcare. Once we hit that point something would literally have to change.
